RENEWABLE ENERGY CONFERENCE GENERATES HUGE INTEREST ACROSS THE BOARD

Although held every year since 2005, the 2008 Conference held yesterday turned out to be the best ever - with double the registration of previous years. CMP Media, organisers of the conference together with the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment, said they believed this was because of the enormous attention given to alternative energy needs in the wake of spiraling oil and energy prices around the world.

The Thai Minister of Energy, H.E. Lt. Gen. Poonpirom Lippatapanlop, made the keynote address which outlined Thailand 's policy and incentive plans for renewable energy in Thailand . Other distinguished speakers –including many international experts covered trend and developments in the fields of solar, wind-power, biomass, biogas and more. These presentations were made in four break-out rooms following the Energd outlined market opportunities for many business entrepreneurs in attendance.
