This most interesting full day tour takes you to rural floating marker of Darmnoensaduak situated 110 kms west of Bangkok. The tour includes a visit to Nakorn Pathom, site of the highest chedi in Thailand called Phra Pathom Chedi, which is the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia. This tour takes you to the world's famous bridge on the RIVER KWAI, built during World War ll by the prisoners of war. The bridge, where lunch is served, is located near the town of KANCHANABURI, 130 km west of Bangkok. There, you will visit the well - kept cemeteries of, which contain the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allies Soldiers who lost their lives while construction the Bridge and the notorious "Death Railway" that the Japanese had hoped to stretch all the way to the Burmese border.
- F3 : RIVER CRUISE TO AYUTHAYA WITH LUNCH

This full day tour takes you on an enjoyable trip to Thailand's ancient capital, Ayuthaya. Depart the hotel to Ayuthaya and walk through the ruins of the ancient city. Continue to bang Pa In (summer Palace of the late King Rama V) before boarding a relaxing cruise down the Chao Phya River back to Bangkok. Lunch is served during the cruise.

Early pick-up (06:00 - 06:30) the clients from various major Bangkok hotels and drive from Bangkok direction to Kanchanaburi, where a short visit at the JEATH Museum (An open-air musem constructed in the form of an actual prisoners-of-war (POW) camp. There are collections of photographs, pictures, articels, pistols. knives, and other items from the construction of the "Death Railway") is being made, before seeing the world-renowed "Bridge over the River Kwai". As depicted in the movie and a part of the "Death Railway" the historical black iron bridge was the target of Allied bombing during 1954. Before boarding the train, we make a visit to the War Cemetery of Allied prisoners of WWII; The cemetery of the remains of over 6,000 prisoners of war, who lost their lives during the construction of the “Death Railway”. Continue to visit the world. Board the train (11:00 hrs) on the original Death Railway Train for a one-hour journey to Tham Krasae station, passing over the dangerously looking wooden viaduct. Arrival at Tham Krasae station. After arrival at the Tham Krasae station, continue in direction of the River Kwai Village Hotel for check-in.

After lunch, we take a long-tailed speedboat upstream along the Kwai Noi River to Lava Cave. Climb up to the Kaeng Lava Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Thailand, for an interesting visit of the fantastic stone formations. We return back to the resort for some relaxation.

Kanchanaburi :
A mere 130 kilometers west of Bangkok is one of the most impressive provinces, Thailand has in regards to nature. With its wide variety of ancient jungle with the meandering Kwa Nai and Kwa Yai river an its many side rivers bordered by rich foliage of bamboo forests and hidden caves gives this one of the best places for nature lovers. Also for those favoring the water and activities in the jungle, from rafting up to elephant rides in the jungle is within easy reach. The area has become world-renowned due to the construction of the railway “Bridge of the River Kwai”, where over 100,000 prisoners of war were allocated to complete a railway connection into Burma. Various spots inside the Kanchanaburi area do remind of this dark part of history; the JEATH Museum and two cemeteries are the most significant, commemorating the thousands of people killed. |
Bridge over the River Kwai :
Internationally famous, thanks to several motion pictures and book, the black iron bridge was brought from Java by the Japanese superversion by Allied prisoners of war labor as part of the “Death Railway” linking Thailand with Myanmar. Still in use today, the bridge was the target of frequent Allied bombing raids during 1945, and rebuilt after the war ended. The curved spans of the bridge are the original sections. The War Cemetery on Saeng Chuto Road, contains the remains of 6,982 prisoners of war who perished during the construction of the “Death Railway” is close-by the bridge and resembles a small part of the many, died during this period of Japanese occupation.

JEATH Museam :
This enclave in the riverside precincts of Wat Chaichumphon has been constructed largely in the form of an Allied prisoners of war camp. The name JEATH is derived from Japan, England, America, Australia, Thailand and Holland. The thatched detention hut with cramped, elevated bamboo bunks contains photographic, pictorial, and physical memorabilia dating from the Second World War. The museum is open daily from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Half Day Doi Suthep & Meo Hill Tribes (Doi Pui)
Visit the most sacred temple in the north of Thailand, the Wat Prathart Doi Suthep is the most sacred temple in Chiangmai containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. Tucked away in the mountains at an elevation of 1,056 meters (3520 feet), the temple is reached using a Naga (7- headed dragon head serpent) railing rising along both sides. The temple compound - reachable via a 300+ steps stairs offers an exhilarating view of Chiangmai city and surrounding countryside. A visit to the nearby hill tribe village of the Meo people completes this day.

One of the most famous northern foods in Chiangmai is the Kantoke dinner. Diners will sit on the floor and share a succession of tasty dishes, accompanied with sticky rice. Full Day Coral Island (Koh Larn)
Depart by a local boat to Koh Larn, which is about a 1-hour journey from the Pattaya boat pier. Upon arrival at the Island you will be transferred to a glass-bottomed boat to view the rich-in-coral underwater world. You will have sufficient time at leisure on the beach before enjoying a sea food lunch at one of the local restaurants on the island. In the afternoon you will be free to swim, or enjoy the various water sports available. A very relaxing day out!
